If you want to start base-jumping I suggest you don’t just buy a Para shoot and go do it, there’s alot to think about first. I got into the sport two years ago and I’ve done 20 skydiving jumps and 3 base jumps(two in legal spots and one illigal). First off I did a tandem jump, a 20 Minute instruction and then you jump 12,000ft from a plane with an instructor and go about 120 mph.

Next I did a Level 1 freefall course in Spain I did my ground school training which took about 5 hours. Then I did a 17,000ft jump with two instructors that hold you in the freefall, you get about 50 seconds in freefall and then you pull. In this jump you reach about 180 mph.

Level 2 is about improving your position and one of your instructors will let go of you.

Level 3 is more independent and both instructors let you go for about 4 seconds.

Level 4 you jump with only 1 instructor and you have to do 90-degree terns.

Level 5 you have to do some 360 terns both ways but you still have one instructor.

Level 6 you get to leave the plane on your own and do back and forward loops.

Level 7 you are assest on your position, back loops, 360 turns and to make space from other divers.

I completed these jumps in about a year and it cost me about 2000 pounds. I then went on to do 10 consistent jumps, which cost about 30 quid a jump.

After this I did a few base jumps and to be honest these are the scariest jumps I’ve ever done. One thing to remember if your doing a base jump is to make sure the wind is on your back because if not you might get blown into what ever your jumping of and make sure you got all your equipment including helmet and gloves, it is a good idea to buy a wing suit to help with your balence but it also slows your jump down. Make sure you got someone on the ground ready to ring an ambulance if anything goes wrong.
And remember if you get court jumping you can get 1000pound fine and a year in prison so watch out.
I do not suggest base-jumping before doing skydiving training but some people do but some people die aswell.
skydiving and base jumping is very addictive its like taking drugs, you feel you want to do higher jump for more of a buzz, it also effects your family because they never know if your going to survive the jump or not. You also get a new family in base-jumping which is your jumping partners, you become very close to these friends.

This is a picture of the Cave of Swallows in San Luis Potosí, Mexico in the rain forest it is so deep that it can engulf the Empire State Building, I hope to do this jump one day.

This is Angel Falls, Venezuela, a popular BASE jump site.

You should have put it in a directory, I’m pretty sure theres an outdoors>sky diving/basejumping section.

Still, not a bad egg, 3*s

meh. agreed with the others, not exactly what this site is for. tho if you could tell us a safe way to base jump without experience, cheap or free parachutes, shit like that. it would be more approperate.

not saying its not a good egg, just not really made for this site

Not a horrible egg but I’m not sure how useful it will be.
I’ll give you three stars.

I’m not sure why members say this doesn’t belong here on RottenEggs.

If you read back into the really old eggs, there are eggs that are very activity oriented and some that depict hiking and biking and rock and mountain climbing and other things to do outdoors, this is merely one more outdoor activity that wasn’t even around when RottenEggs was first conceived.

I’d say it would be a welcome addition to the outdoor category in the egg directory.

I’d also say you did a pretty good job and I’ll give you a 4*’s as there were some spelling mistakes that kind of bugged me.
